I grew up in the small town of Setauket, New York, in one of the sports hotbeds, Long Island. Lacrosse was what my town was known for, and my high school, Ward Melville, was one of few national powerhouses at that time. Of the 17 guys in my class, 11 of us went on to play Division I lacrosse, we were a factory.
 
After High School, I played 2 years at West Point, before transferring to Syracuse University. I had the unique experience of playing under 3 Hall of Fame coaches (Coach Joe Cuozzo in High School, Coach Jack Emmer & John Desko in College), it was a real honor to learn from each of them. 
 
I made my way out to San Diego in 2003, and after I began helping a friends High School Club team years after being removed from the sport, I realized that being a part of a team was my happy place. I was brought on as an Assistant Coach at Del Norte High School in 2010, I then left to start up a youth program to feed into Del Norte, which is where I first met & coached Lukas Adams, before being asked to come back to Del Norte to lead the High School program. I stepped down after 6 seasons to spend more time with my family, but I still coach my sons Rec lacrosse team in the Spring.
 
At Del Norte, we were the San Diego Division II CIF Runner-Ups in 2016 before winning the Championship in 2017, the program then went onto win the 2019 Division I Championship which was Lukas’s Senior year in High School.
